The Investor - is a data, news, and innovation oriented electronic journal and an organization to promote financial literacy in the Caucasus with a win-win strategy at its aim. At The Investor we publish articles about startups, economics, psychology, health and education in Azerbaijani, Georgian and English. While on the other hand supporting local welfare, startups, and innovative ideas. We named this initiative "The Investor" because we want to indicate two factors, first, "The" makes the name sound much like a media brand name. And second, we wanted to let everyone know that we are a financial media. Although we will primarily focus on ethnic minorities in the Caucasus countries, our activities will benefit everyone indiscriminately

In order to understand how Georgia is primed to become the next tech start-up powerhouse, let’s compare it to Estonia, the so-called ‘baltic tiger’.

According to the EU's official website, the population of Estonia in 2020 was 1,331,796
. The Georgian population is 2.8 times larger than that of Estonia, yet Estonia has given birth to many popular brands such as
Skype
,
Bolt
and
several other billion dollar companies
(often called ‘unicorns’).
If one puts some time aside to research about Estonia, one might ask: Why should Estonia host a flourishing startup community and not Georgia? Estonia has two big advantages over Georgia currently:

1. EU membership.
EU membership guarantees governmental stability and security which is absolutely indispensable for the investors. Foreign investors seek to make sure that their investments will be secure and stable.

2. They invested in technology.
Most Estonian startups, if not all, are based on technology. Bolt and Skype are just a few of the examples. In a globalised world we all have fair access to the internet, technology and the resources needed to start developing our own ecosystem. Georgia is not too far from where Estonia is. If we start making the right choices today, such a future for Georgia is attainable.

In a conference held on November 15, 2021 in Tbilisi
, foreign venture capitalists agreed that Georgia has the same vibe that Estonia did in 2011. Assuming that the government makes wise decisions, Georgia may very well attract foreign investors. These investors are called venture capitalists, they unite and invest around 20 percent of their annual income, they invest in the possibility of your startup's success which means they become your partner both in your success and in your failure. All you must do is to lay out a reasonable plan for success and they will join you.
To encourage the upcoming generations, we intend to conduct training and conferences on technology, finance, business, startups and psychology to train them and encourage Caucasian youths to join the effort to transform Georgia into another prosperous Estonia and be part of the change throughout the Caucasus.

In addition to the above, The Investor aims to promote the financial welfare of families and advocate for laws that enable citizens to grow rich and embark upon the path to a prosperous future for the entire Caucasus region. We have set a clear plan, path, value and morals, we aim to find remedies and form friendships. The Investor is an open society, we hope to work with startupers, educators, journalists, embassies, businessmen and politicians to form an idea on what the situation in the Caucasus is and what should be done to improve citizens' financial welfare and the quality of life and education

We thank you, the reader, and friends of The Investor that made this possible!
For a better world, for freedom, honesty and for humanity - The Investor.
